Rep. Diana DeGette Hosts Small Business Forum on “Access to Capital”

Whether you’re starting a business or building the one you have, you need a lot of information to help you make sound financial decisions and to know what resources are available when you need help the most. Join Congresswoman Diana DeGette as she hosts a forum to educate local small business owners in the 1st Congressional District of Colorado on lending resources and the necessity of a strong business foundation.

The forum will bring together business professionals and small business owners to provide guidance and best practices on creating a successful business plan as well as building a strong business foundation. In addition, the forum will offer participants the opportunity to hear from business capital, funding and finance industry professionals on the variety of lending resources available. The panelists will share their expertise on how to best match your business needs with the appropriate lending agencies, small business resource centers, and funding sources.

After the panel presentations, a Resource Fair will offer attendees the chance to network and speak one-on-one with financial institutions and small business resource organizations. Following the program, the University of Colorado Denver will be offering a private tour of the new Business School facility.

This event is taking place on Wednesday, January 11^th from 10:00am-12:00pm (registration begins at 9:30am) at the University of Colorado Denver Lawrence Street Center (1380 Lawrence Street, Denver, CO 80204).  There is no fee to attend.
