Equipping You to Succeed in Business - Small Business Development Center

Currently in Business

So you have started a business and been operating for an extended period of time. But where do you go from here? The South Metro Denver Small Business Development Center understands that today's entrepreneur has many different responsibilities and tasks from day-to-day, and often does not have time to continually review their business and what direction they are heading in. We are here to help you get the assistance you need and do the things your business requires to maintain a successful operation.

We have a number of services available to entrepreneurs who are currently operating their own business, including:

  • FREE, confidential, one-on-one consulting with our experienced small business counselors. Each of our consultants has, or currently owns, their own small business. They understand the trials and tribulations entrepreneurs encounter, and are able to draw from their own experiences and knowledge to help you take your organization where you want to go. To request an appointment with one of our consultants, please visit the Consulting page and fill-out the form. We will use this information to match you up with the appropriate counselor for your needs.

  • Our center offers a number of programs geared specifically toward business owners who have been operating for at least two years. These programs assist with entrepreneurs with business planning, developing a strategic vision, business operations, and more. Colorado Leading Edge: NxLeveL™ for Entrepreneurs, Success Tracks, and Business Boot Camp are among the programs we offer to existing business owners. To learn more about these offerings, please visit the Special Programs page.

  • In addition to our consulting and programs, we also offer a number of workshops that are beneficial to existing entrepreneurs. Get the information you need about accounting and record keeping, small business legal issues, and other special small business topics in our Small Business Growth & Operations Series and Special Topic workshops. Classes include QuickBooks training (for Beginner and Intermediate users), the Legal Lunch and Small Business Lunch Series, Lender's Panel, and Denver Business Empowerment Series. For class descriptions, visit the Workshop Descriptions page, and register to attend the next sessions on the Workshops & Events Calendar page.
